Yishun · Sembawang
A vibrant, family-centric residential hub characterized by high-tech wellness facilities and a rich naval heritage.
District 27 has a unique blend of industrial and military history. Yishun is named after Lim Nee Soon, a prominent rubber and pineapple planter known as the "Pineapple King." Sembawang was the site of a major British Naval Base in the early 20th century, which significantly influenced the district's architecture, including the many "Black and White" colonial bungalows that still stand today.
